For Autistic People Seeking Mental Health Support

Coming soon: more specific advice and guidance on accessing counselling and making it work for you.

We have published a report on counselling experiences of autistic adults, which includes a list of recommendations for counsellors and other practitioners. It may also be helpful for autistic people and our supporters who wish to advocate for more appropriate support, or helpful accommodations.

The AMASE (Autistic Mutual Aid Society Edinburgh) site has some resources for autistic people and our supporters and allies, including a guide to how to support autistic people who are experiencing mental health difficulties.

Sadly we are currently unable to offer a list of autism informed counsellors. We hope to be able to offer that (Scotland/UK based) in the future.
